After an extremely positive experience attending the Research and Employability Fair hosted by Canterbury Christ Church University’s School of Human & Life Sciences on Tuesday 22ndJanuary; AbBaltis has been delighted at the wonderful feedback we’ve had since the event.
A number of the students that we met on the day have reached out to us to ask to come and undertake some work experience in our labs. Due to the high demand for this, we have decided to host an open day (more details to follow soon!)
One student commented: “I just wanted to start by thanking you for the amazing team you had at the CCCU Careers Fair. The team were extremely helpful, answered all questions and opened my mind to the different positions within your company. My friend and I approached your stand and were greeted with enthusiasm and were told all about the graduate scheme your company offers whilst the gentlemen there explained other roles within the business. Funnily enough, he was explaining how your Senior Lab Tech Rik attended Canterbury Christ Church University and also studied Bioscience.”
All-in-all the three members of our team who attended the event were especially impressed by how knowledgeable and prepared the students were. Managing Director Giedre Brandao explained: “I have been to a number of these sort of events and I thought the students at CCCU were particularly well prepared. They had clearly spent some time researching our company, so they came armed with pertinent questions about what we did. I am very optimistic about their futures within the industry.”
We will be making an announcement regarding our Open Day over the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for more details on our website and across our social media channels.
